The only conscious human in a world of sheep.
To be more accurate, we are all humans in disguise as sheep. Social conformity greatly influences our actions and thoughts which then results in blurred individualism. Thoughts, personalities, and perceptions do not differ much from one person to another although we all claim that we are individuals of self-acclaimed uniqueness. Self-esteem often plunders when we are labeled as part of the...
My guardian angel.
A hot and sweaty night left me completely listless today. Sure I could have slept without a blanket, but I find it awfully difficult to sleep long hours without it, for, it is the barrier that separates me from the menacing world of darkness; it protects me from the dark lord and his cohorts. I would rather not take the risk of sleeping without a blanket and having my soul extracted from my body...

Sadness is a gift that paves the way to eternal joy, and acceptance for what cannot be changed.

Stfu.
Damn pretentious people acting as if the purpose of their existence is to have ‘inferiors’ fawningly kiss their feet and the ground they walk on. Your extraordinary arrogance nearly induces the urge for me to upchuck the varied contents of my stomach.
Sorry. Tom came over to visit for a while.

world-shaker:
Really interesting point/counterpoint over here. Here’s the first one:
Objection 1: Dumbness of crowds
We have ‘constructivists’ who wouldn’t be able to string two sentences together when asked what that actually means in terms of real psychology. Then the woolly ‘social learning’ advocates who see all learning as social (ridiculous) and can’t see that some of it is a waste ...

And this is David Burtka:
They’ve been a couple since 2004.
They love each other an incredible amount.

And tonight, June 24, 2011, after New York passed the Marriage Equality Bill, they proposed to each other. They are now engaged.
And now,...

Rape.
Obscene, vulgar, crude, and just plain disgusting-this is how most of us would normally describe rape. Ever wondered why we do it? Perhaps the reason behind it is that men are animals and many species of the wild kingdom exhibit the same exact behavior. I’m not sure what to call it-the urge to reproduce? Proliferation? When you observe most rapists’ appearances and background...
About time.
I will be joining a nursing assistant program during the summer. Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm..long hours indeed. I’m excited though, now that I’m finally grabbing the opportunity to benefit towards my future. My inclination to reach out and help people in need will be my sole motivation and intention to get through whatever I must in order to arrive at my destination. I love bodies.

A barbie world.
Remember that period of time when barbie dolls were perched on nearly every young girl’s nightstand? I’m not sure if they are still in hype, but goddam, I hated barbies with a passion. Along with the plastic mini mannequins, I also disliked frilly dresses, beauty pageants, makeup, models, princesses, the color pink, and just about every other synonym that would pop up right next...

My mind has always been at war; intuition vs. logic, reality vs. fantasy. I don’t think it will ever end.

Waves of change.
Standing on a hill and overlooking the sea, my eyes absorbed in as much of the world and its horizon as they could. For that one brief moment, it felt as if man may have been strong enough to withstand Poseidon’s almighty realms of water. It’s amazing how the ocean can be synchronously so majestic yet crimson. Every growing wave rolling by seems to churn a revelation within the soul as...
